ALYH ABOVE is a multidisciplinary artist, researcher and worldbuilder constructing artistic research projects aimed toward studying, expressing, and reflecting on The Human Experience as Creative Process and its role in black fulfillment.

Native to West Palm Beach, FL and currently creating out of Philadelphia, PA, their work is expressed through music, writing, production, design, film, archive, theory, philosophy, and creative liberation strategy. Since 2015, ALYH ABOVE’s practice has used art, creative research, worldbuilding and the study of Life as Art to honor and proliferate black fulfillment.

At current, they are developing their worldbuilding studio, here + human, which equips artists and cultural workers to create the world(s) we need next. Through here + human’s non-linear educational, artistic, and archival offerings, ALYH intends to help seed liberative, fulfillment-based change.

WHY FULFILLMENT?
Because it is resistance against dehumanization. It is a way for us to choose to be human while living amidst systems that attempt to dehumanize us.
